Second Day of Hannover Messe 2024, NCA Explores Potential Cooperation in Environmentally Friendly Technology

HANNOVER - On the second day of Hannover Messe 2024, the Nusantara Capital Authority (NCA) through its Urban Mobility Expert, Resdiansyah, invited potential investors to seize investment opportunities in Nusantara. Transportation is one of the sectors being offered, particularly smart and environmentally friendly transportation.

"We prioritize environmentally friendly transportation, such as walking, cycling, and public transportation. Only 20% of private vehicles are allowed to operate in Nusantara. This transportation system is designed in an integrated manner through a smart intelligent transportation system," Resdiansyah explained during his presentation.

Furthermore, Resdiansyah emphasized that Nusantara is not just a concept. This is evidenced by the groundbreaking activities that have been carried out with various investors involved.

"This is what we have done in Nusantara, it's not just a concept. We have conducted the first, second, third, fourth, and even fifth groundbreaking activities. With a total investment value as of January 2024 of around Rp 47.5 trillion," said Resdiansyah.

Shortly after the presentation, the NCA received a visit from LUG, a leading smart lighting company in Europe. During the meeting, the Business Development Manager of LUG, Tomasz Wajciechowski, expressed their commitment to conduct Proof of Concept (PoC) in Indonesia.

"We appreciate the commitment of potential investors who are willing to invest in Nusantara. Various incentives have been offered, which is a step forward for the development of Nusantara. In the future, we hope to see more world-class investors with the right technology to be applied in the future capital of Indonesia, Nusantara," said Secretary of the NCA, Achmad Jaka Santos Adiwijaya.

The PoC commitment by LUG is a follow-up from the meeting with the NCA that took place the previous year. The implementation of the technology offered by LUG will not only result in a more environmentally friendly city but also help reduce carbon footprint and create a safer and more comfortable environment for the community.

The NCA also explored cooperation with Solinatra, a company based in the Netherlands and a pioneer in biomaterial innovation. Solinatra collaborates with the ATMI Polytechnic (Academy of Industrial Mechanical Engineering) in Surakarta to offer the concept of a zero-plastic city in Nusantara.

"One application of zero plastic can be implemented by replacing polybags with biodegradable materials. In the field of education, we can collaborate by conducting a living laboratory in Nusantara and even building vocational schools if needed," explained Yustinus Wahyo Nursanto, Operational Director of PT ATMI IGI Center.
