Regent of Kutai Kartanegara Edi Damansyah explained that they have prepared the spatial arrangement overlapping with Nusantara but need clarity on the extent of the authority of the Kukar Regency Government and the NCA to resolve administrative issues for their people to ensure optimal services

He also discussed more details about the transfer of assets, human resources, and the management of natural resources that will transition from Kukar Regency to Nusantara.

Responding to this, Secretary of IKN Achmad Jaka Santos Adiwidjaya stated that Nusantara would continue to carry out its functions according to Law Number 3 of 2022, preparing, developing, moving, and organizing special regional governments. The Kukar Regency Government will still carry out its respective governmental affairs.

“Kutai Kartanegara is developing a governance vision that prioritizes sustainable development. This aligns with the vision of Nusantara, so there is already a basic platform for developing this partner region,” added Secretary Jaka.
