Chairman of NCA Invites ASPI to Participate in Development of Nusantara as a Smart and Sustainable City

BALIKPAPAN – Chairman of Nusantara Capital Authority (NCA) Bambang Susantono invited the Asosiasi Sekolah Perencanaan Indonesia (ASPI) to participate in developing the Nusantara as an ideal smart and sustainable city that ensures the welfare and sustainability of the earth and humanity.

This was conveyed by Bambang at the ASPI XII National Seminar at the Grand Senyiur Hotel Balikpapan on Friday (15/9/2023). This event is a routine agenda carried out by ASPI as a scientific forum between the academic community, experts, and practitioners in the planning field.

On this occasion, the Chairman of NCA Bambang Susantono delivered a presentation regarding the planning and progress of Nusantara development. He explained how in city development planning many facilities outside of basic infrastructure were left behind, such as health, education, and social protection facilities.

"Therefore, we are trying to develop the Nusantara as a new capital city by including these dimensions in integrated, holistic, and comprehensive city planning," he said.

Nusantara, he continued, as the first capital in the world to be moved to a different island, is a new locomotive for Indonesia to create a new growth center which is expected to create equality in the welfare of society. Therefore, Bambang invited ASPI to participate in supporting the development of Nusantara.

“This is an opportunity for friends from ASPI to discuss. "We are very open if anyone wants to make studies, research, and so on using the various platforms that we have," he said.

Furthermore, Bambang explained that many parties had collaborated with NNCA in the field of knowledge, both in the fields of science, arts, and technology. "I hope that friends from ASPI as planners will not miss out on participating in the development of NNC," he added.

Responding to this, Chairman of ASPI Iwan Rudiarto expressed his gratitude. "This is the moment we have been waiting for because we had the opportunity to listen directly to the presentation from the Chairman of NCA. "And insya Allah, tomorrow we will be given a special tour to see the progress of Nusantara development directly in the field," he concluded.
